Shipping out five new large paintings to the exquisite Paul Mahder Gallery in the heart of wine country north of San Francisco. Very pleased to be exhibiting in such a fine gallery. www.paulmahdergallery.com
I've been asked to exhibit a few paintings in a two month show at the very exquisite Paul Mahder Gallery north of San Francisco in wine country. The gallery is high end and amazing, the largest gallery north of LA. It feels more like a museum than a gallery with really strong work throughout. I'm really honored to have been asked to show there. If you're up around wine country, by all means stop in. (http://www.paulmahdergallery.com). Scena, 30" x 30", mixed media on canvas will go out for the show.
Really wonderful, and packed, opening for the small works exhibition at the Diana Felber Gallery in West Stockbridge MA last saturday night. The artists represented, and the art itself is quite good. Really a strong exhibition. I'm honored to have five paintings in the show, including this one: Timpani, 30" x40", mixed media on canvas. The show will be up through the end of the year.
www.dianafelbergallery.com I'll have a dozen or so large paintings up for an exhibition of new work at the Hosmer Gallery in Northampton for the month of December. There will be an opening reception on Saturday afternoon December 3d. Pictured here: Veldt, 60" x 60", mixed media on canvas will be included in the show.
Happy to announce I will be represented out in the Berkshires by the beautiful Diana Felber Gallery in West Stockbridge MA (http://dianafelbergallery.com/david-skillicorn/). The gallery represents a really strong group of artists whose work I really respect. I'm really honored to be among them.
Happy to announce my paintings Sinfonia (40" x 30", right) and Motet (60" x 60" below) will be featured in the the winter edition of the national juried contemporary arts magazine, Studio Visit, The issue was curated by Jessica Roscio, Curator of the Danforth Art Museum. Happy to be included as the magazine gets very wide exposure. Packed house turn out for the opening last night at Galatea Fine Art in Boston. My painting in the show had a prominent placement, and I really enjoyed meeting collectors and the other very fine artists in the exhibition. Below: Motet, 60" x 60", mixed media on canvas. Happy to have this large painting (Motet, 60" x 60") selected into the annual juried show at Galatea Fine Art Gallery in Boston, curated by Julie Burros, Chief of Arts and Culture for the city. Show will be up August 3 - 28, with an opening reception on August 5 from 6-8pm. Hope some of you can stop by and see the show.
Tremendous turn out for the opening of the national juried exhibition "Patterns" at the Attleboro Art Museum last night. Its a really strong show and I enjoyed seeing the other works and meeting some of the artists. I was pleased to see my painting Memory I very prominently displayed so its exposed through the Museum's main window to the street, representing the exhibition to the outside world. Very nice and much appreciated.
