![]() The horizon line is a strong recurring motif in many of my paintings. While I don't set out to paint "THE HORIZON", the visual reference in the abstract works is unmistakable. Growing up along the Pacific Ocean, the horizon line has always been a very strong presence for me, and I think it just works its way subconsciously into many of the paintings I'm doing today. For me the horizon is important. In reality, it is not actually a physical space in the world. Yet it is something that we look for and see in the distance. We are drawn to it. In a way, the horizon is something transcendent, a vision really... of our imagination. Comments are closed.
