Fantastic turnout for our opening at Paula Estey Gallery in Newburyport on Friday night. Thanks to all of those who made it by. Lots of fun. Show up through June. Happy to be exhibiting several new paintings through the end of June at the Paula Estey Gallery in Newburyport MA, a beautiful gallery in the heart of the historic downtown. Below, Raine, 30" x 30" acrylic on canvas will be part of the show.  Happy to announce I will be represented in the north shore area (north of Boston) by the lovely Paula Estey Gallery in Newburyport. Several paintings from my Adagio and Botanique series (including these two) will be part of this season's inaugural exhibition opening April 27th.
Currently on view at the Paul Mahder Gallery in Northern California, paintings from the Della Terra series. Wonderful turnout for the opening reception at the Sprinkler Factory Gallery in Worcester Saturday night. I have two big paintings in the show (pictured here) which I'm sharing with five other really talented artists from western Massachusetts. On view through December 3.    I'm developing a new series of paintings I'm calling Botanique. The paintings are inspired by the amazing and ever changing botanical world all around us. Abstract Impressionist in style, the paintings meld the form and vitality of Abstract Expressionism with the broken color brushwork of the Impressionists. I hope to convey some of the dazzling color, vibrancy and nuance found in the magical world of plants, flowers and trees. I've brightened the palette quite a bit in this series, and am letting the colors run free. All titles are randomly selected from botanical nomenclature. Pictured here, Fasicle, 48" x 48" acrylic on canvas.  Coniferous, (36" x 36", mixed media on canvas), has been juried into the Western Massachusetts Biennial on view through the end of the month at the Hosmer Gallery in Northampton. Opening reception this Friday (10/13) 5-8pm. Hope to see some of you there.  Happy to have a number of new paintings up in this show at Diana Felber Gallery through November 12th. Opening reception this Friday Oct 6th, 5-7 pm. Stop by if you're in the area.
